The Saville Gardens & Royal Heritage Tour

We will spend a few hours wandering the beautifully themed landscaped areas, gaze at magnificent trees and admire the abundant variety of flowers & plants. There will be time for you to have lunch before our tour. The Tour is booked for 2.30pm and lasts approx 90 minutes, most of which is in the coach. You will learn the long history of Windsor Great Park and visit The Coronation Groves to commemorate the coronation of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II, The Royal Equestrian Statues, The Royal School, founded by Queen Victoria, The Guards Polo Club, founded by Prince Philip & the Estate Village. To finish we will disembark from the coach at the top of the iconic Long Walk, giving you time to take photos from The Copper Horse statue of George III to the historic Windsor Castle.


Leaving Stanway at 7.45am, Earls Colne 8am, Halstead 8.15am & Braintree 8.35am. Depart approx 4pm.

Be part of something historic and discover Sussex rural history, in the heart of the picturesque South Downs. See what rural living was like with over a 1,000 years of history to explore, and over 50 relocated historic houses covering the 40 acre site.  A museum for those who want to see, touch and even smell what life was really like for people living in years gone by.

The BBC’s The Repair Shop is filmed at the Museum. It is a closed film set and is not accessible to the public. The set including the outside of the barn is visible from a short distance but there is no public access beyond that point.
